Description
Cumin seed oil
Steam-distilled from the dried, ripened fruits of the Cuminum Cyminum herb, Cumin Seed Oil is also sometimes referred to as “Roman Caraway Oil,” or just plain “Cumin Oil.” Cumin Seed Oil has a pale yellow coloration, with an aroma that is incredibly powerful and diffusive. The odor is spicy and slightly fatty, though it retains a unique “soft” quality that separates it from other similar oils. Cumin Seed Oil can also introduce a spicy green top note to natural perfumes, making it particularly popular in floral and aldehydic fragrances. In flavor applications, Cumin Oil imparts a spicy and herbaceous nuance, often utilized in meat sauces, pickling brines, and curry seasonings.
