Cashew nut
Cashew, (Anacardium occidentale), an evergreen shrub is cultivated for its characteristically curved edible seeds, cashew “nuts”, are rich in oil and distinctively flavoured. They are commonly used in South and Southeast Asian cuisine and are taken as a premium-quality protein-rich snack food in Western and other countries.
Standard specifications for Indian cashew kernels for export have been laid down by the Government of India. Some of the premium grades are W-180(King of cashew),W-210(Jumbo nuts).
