Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Miller), a native herb of Europe and Asia Minor, has a fragrant odor, pleasant aromatic taste. 

Leaves of the fennel are used for garnishing. Leaves and stalks are used in salads. Fennel seeds help relieve indigestion. They are used for flavoring soups, meat dishes, Italian sausages, sauces, pizza, pastries, confectionaries, and liquors.
